What is hyaluronic acid application?

Hyaluronic acid applications are a medical-cosmetic treatment in which hyaluronic acid is applied as mesotherapy. Hyaluronic acid is applied to the skin to provide moisture and increase its elasticity. The effect of injections applied under the skin with a very fine needle begins to be seen after about 3 months.

Skin Aging and Collagen

As our skin ages, it loses its collagen, hyaluronic acid, which is the building block of collagen, and adipose tissue. This causes sagging skin, wrinkles and deep lines. Hyaluronic acid plays a very important role in keeping our skin young. While hyaluronic acid keeps the skin moist, it triggers collagen production and increases skin firmness and vitality. Hyaluronic acid also acts as an anti-oxidant and protects our skin against the harmful effects of free radicals. Thus, hyaluronic acid helps delay skin aging and skin rejuvenation (antiaging).

In Which Regions Is It Applied?

Forehead / Mid-Brow

Around the Eyes and Mouth

Face / Neck / Decollete / Hands

At What Intervals and How Many Times Is the Treatment Applied?

Since the skin elasticity is not deteriorated in people aged 30-35, it will be sufficient to apply it as 2 sessions every 15 days, especially in order to gain moisture and prevent wrinkles that may occur. To maintain the well-being, the sessions can be repeated every 3 to 6 months. In older ages, 30 days after the first 2 sessions, 3 sessions are applied to increase the permanence of hyaluronic acid and reduce wrinkles.

Are There Any Side Effects?

This treatment is a reliable application. Minimal bruises may occur at the injection sites. These disappear in 2-3 days. Allergic reactions can be observed very rarely.

It can be applied easily except for pregnant women and warfarin users. If using aspirin, it should be discontinued 2-3 days before to prevent bruising.

In order to prevent the early absorption of hyaluronic acid, hot environments such as sauna and Turkish bath should be avoided.
