What is Botox?

The lines on our face that disturb us are formed as a result of our facial expressions, that is, our muscle movements. When we squint our eyes against the sun during the day, when we raise our eyebrows while talking or when we frown, these lines form and can become permanent fractures if not intervened in a timely manner. At the same time, the square face image formed by clenching teeth and even oral and dental health complaints occur with excessive contraction of the muscles.

This is where Botox comes into play. It prevents the formation of lines and permanent fractures by temporarily stopping the contraction of the target muscles. Clenching your teeth ends your complaints such as migraine. Only the muscle we apply is affected by the procedure, the surrounding muscles and deeper structures are not affected.

In which areas is it used?

-Botox has been used in many fields in the history of medicine. Cerebral palsy has a long history ranging from dystonia and spasm treatment to aesthetic applications.

So, in which cases do we apply Botox in our clinic?

How is the Application Made?

In our clinic, Botox application is performed with the most appropriate dose of Botox injection, after the examination of your dermatologist. After 15 days, our patient is given a control appointment and the effectiveness of the application is observed and the application is made with small touches to the needed areas.

What is the effect time?

On the 15th day after the procedure, Botox sits literally. The duration of the effect varies according to the activity of the application area and the use of the person. For example, if our patient has a job that requires constant talking, or if he speaks by using his facial expressions too much, the duration of the effect may change. To say an average range, 4-6 months of action can be given.
