What is PRP?
“Platelet rich plasma” is the abbreviation of the method called platelet (thrombocyte) enriched plasma application. It is the process of separating a small amount of blood (10-20cc) taken from a person into its components by undergoing a special process and returning the obtained “platelet-enriched plasma” to the same person with a special device called a manual or “mesotherapy gun”. PRP is a system that helps regenerate tissues by secreting healing and repairing factors in the area where it is injected in the body.
P RWhat is the purpose of P Application?
Platelets, namely thrombocyte cells, are cells that contain growth factors that help blood clot and repair damaged vessels and other tissues in our body. When there is any damage in our tissues, the repair process begins through platelets. In the application of PRP treatment, much more platelets and the growth factors in its content can be delivered to the target area than can be carried by the blood circulation.
How is Skin Rejuvenation Provided with PRP?
The aging of our skin is caused by losing some of its physical properties, just like in the process of injury. For this reason, in skin rejuvenation applications, we imitate what our body does when healing a wound with various methods. For example, we inflict micro-level damage to our skin with methods such as laser and peeling and trigger the healing process. At the end of this damage, growth factors are released and the healing process begins. Dermo cosmetic products similarly initiate the healing process through substances that restructure our skin and synthetically obtained growth factors.
When platelets, which are concentrated in the plasma, are injected into the skin, the growth factors contained in them stimulate the production of collagen and the formation of new capillaries, and allow the skin to renew itself rapidly.
PRP How is Skin Rejuvenation Procedure Applied?
A special filter and centrifuge are used to obtain platelet-rich plasma. Approximately 97% of the platelets are dissociated and have a concentration of 6-10 times higher than normal in plasma.
The PRP procedure begins with blood collection from the patient. With the help of a special filter and centrifuge, platelet-rich plasma containing autologous white blood cells is prepared. Finally, plasma (PRP) containing platelet-rich autologous white blood cells is injected into the skin at the treatment site. Platelets and white blood cells at the injection sites provide intensive release of growth factors with a synergistic effect. Growth factors increase collagen and hyaluronic acid production, healing wounds, eliminating skin problems such as wrinkles and acne scars, and renewing the skin. PRP is applied as filler injection or mesotherapy.
