Non-surgical aesthetics

Botox works by temporarily stopping the transmission from nerves to muscles. Thus, the movements of the muscles in the injected area are prevented and the wrinkles formed as a result of the movements of these muscles are eliminated.

Since the beginning of the 1990s, it has been widely used in the world for the purpose of removing wrinkles on the face. It has been observed that it gives very successful results, especially in removing the lines on the forehead and the lines called crow’s feet around the eyes. The fact that it is very difficult to correct the wrinkle lines in these areas with facial rejuvenation surgeries further increases its importance in aesthetic surgery. Many people who have facelift surgery need additional applications in order to achieve a better result. Another advantage is that it has an effect that lifts the eyebrow edges and provides correction of this problem in people with low eyebrows.

It is applied to correct wrinkles by injecting into certain points on the face with a very fine-tipped needle. The procedure takes about 5 minutes and is a very easily tolerated procedure that can only be felt as the prick of a thin needle. The effects of the application appear after 2 to 3 days and continue for 4 to 6 months. Its effects, which are permanent for 4 months in the first application, can extend up to 8 months after a few applications. No significant swelling or redness occurs during the application and the person can return to their daily activities immediately.

Injections are very effective in correcting the forehead lines, frown lines, and lines around the eyes (crow’s feet), especially in the upper part of the face. In addition, when applied to the upper parts of the face, there is an effect that raises the eyebrows. In the lower part of the face, it can be applied to the lines on the lips and vertical bands on the neck. However, as effective results do not occur in these areas as in the upper parts of the face, its application remains more limited. It is used in the treatment of excessive sweating. It was determined by chance that it was also good for headache and migraine in the patients who were applied.

Although the application is a method whose permanence is not very long and needs to be repeated for its permanence, it is preferred and applied in today’s aesthetic surgery because it is a non-surgical, easy and inexpensive treatment. It has been applied to millions of people around the world and no serious complications have been encountered. Complications that may occur in incorrect applications may not be considered important as they will return within a few months. However, its application by an experienced physician is important in terms of preventing these complications and getting more effective results.

WHAT IS EYEBROW LIFT OPERATION?

The structure of the eyebrows differs according to gender. It is more curved in women while it is straighter in men. The eyebrows are in harmony with the eyes and nose in line with certain proportions and angles. Whether structurally or due to aging, low-looking eyebrows give the person an unhappy and tired appearance. Bringing the eyebrows to their normal shape and angles gives a dynamic look, while emphasizing the eyes, causing the gaze to be more lively and impressive.

HOW IS EYEBROW LIFT OPERATION DONE?

As in classical forehead lift surgeries, it can be applied by making a smaller incision made from the scalp, or it can be performed over the eyebrow or by entering through the upper eyelid. Permanence of eyebrow lift operations, whether there will be scars, the success of obtaining the desired eyebrow shape, whether it is under local or general anesthesia depends on the technique to be applied. The choice of technique is determined according to the patient’s needs, expectations, whether another operation will be performed (eyelid aesthetics, face lift, forehead lift, etc.) and the surgeon’s experience in these techniques. In eyebrow lifting operations performed by entering over the eyelid and eyebrow, almost no scar is left compared to classical techniques, but the duration of permanence is relatively less.

CAN EYEBROWS BE RAISED WITH THREADS?

Yes, eyebrows can also be hung with threads; These suspension techniques are procedures that do not leave any traces and can be performed under local anesthesia for 20-30 minutes.

Fillers Application

Hyaluronic Acid Derivatives:

Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide found in all living organisms. The dermis layer of the skin contains collagen fiber clusters that support the tissue and hyaluronic acid molecules that hold water and create volume.

Hyaluronic acid has been produced in the form of injections (Restylene, Hylaform etc.) to correct wrinkles on the skin and has been used by more than 30 million people around the world to date. Since it does not contain animal substances and toxins, there is no risk of disease transmission from other living things and does not cause an allergic reaction. The patient can be treated immediately, as there is no need for testing.

Hyaluronic acid injections are made into the dermis layer of the skin with a very fine-tipped needle. It is used especially for the correction of fine wrinkles and for lip plumping. Thin lines on the lip, the line extending from the edges of the nose to the rim of the mouth (nasolabial fold), the lines on the rim of the mouth, the frown lines on the forehead are the areas where the most applied and the most beneficial results are obtained.

Hyaluronic acid injections are procedures that take a short time and are performed in the office, and their application is very easy for the patient. There is no significant swelling and redness after the procedure and the patient can return to his daily activities immediately. Hyaluronic acid is absorbed by the body over time and gradually shrinks. However, it extends its effectiveness up to 1 year, with an average of 6 months. Re-applications can be made after its effectiveness decreases or disappears.

Calcium Hydroxyapatite:

Calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) is a substance that has been used in plastic surgery for many years and has been proven to have no side effects. This substance has been used in plastic surgery for two years in the form of a filler in gel form. Its permanence is much longer than hyaluronic acid and lasts for 6-7 years. It gives very positive results, especially when used for lip plumping and filling deep lines. It can also be applied to increase the chin tip and cheekbone protrusion.

Calcium hydroxyapatite injections are also easy, painless and short-term procedures for the patient. Immediately after the procedure, the person can continue his normal life.

Fat Injection

In this process, known as fat injection or “micro lipoinjection”, fat is taken from the abdomen, thighs, buttocks and other fat-containing body parts of the patient with a needle. It is injected under the skin of the face after undergoing special procedures. The oil is most commonly applied to fill sunken cheeks, laugh lines between the mouth and nose, eliminate collapse and irregularities in the skin, erase forehead lines and fill the lips or eliminate contour irregularities in the body.

After cleaning and preparing both the donor and recipient areas, the fat is withdrawn from the specified areas with the help of a negative pressure injector under local anesthesia or general anesthesia depending on the amount to be taken. The extracted fat is left to drain freely in the injector and is waited for the separation of serum and fat cells. Then, the fat cells are taken from the middle part of the holding injector, where only the fat cells are located, to the injector where the transfer will be made, and injected into the recipient area. In order to be able to precisely control the amount to be transferred, the transfer injectors must be 1cc injectors. The needle tips to be used should be of 14-16 gauge size so that the transfer can be done easily and the fat cells are not damaged while transferring. Sometimes a thin tape is adhered to the injection site. Considering that 50% of the fat melts within 6 months after the treatment, more fat is given than necessary. But care must be taken not to overdo this amount. Another important point to be considered during the transfer of fat is; It is necessary to give the fat into different layers such as subcutaneous tissue, adipose tissue and muscle tissue in order to increase the probability of survival in the recipient area. It is natural to observe temporary swelling and regional puffiness on the face after fat injection when used for purposes such as filling sunken cheeks, eliminating forehead collapse, increasing the fullness of the chin tip, except for facial lines.

It would be appropriate for patients who have been treated in large areas to rest for a short time. However, most patients return to their normal daily activities immediately after treatment. Some swelling or redness can be expected at both the recipient and donor site.

The degree of these complaints varies according to the area treated and their size. Until the redness or bruises at the injection sites improve, they should be protected from sunlight for about a week. During this time, the use of sunscreen creams or foundation may help.

The continuity of the results obtained with fat injection varies from patient to patient. Although this period may be a year or longer in some patients, almost half of the fullness achieved in the first week disappears at the end of a six-month period in the majority of patients. Because the fullness in the first weeks depends on swelling. After three months, it is more or less obvious how much tissue is fed and remains there. New injections can be repeated after 3,6,12 months to improve the result. Although the application is done 2-3 times in the first year, once a year may be sufficient in the following years. It is much more rational to apply it in the form of reinforcements before the lines get too deep. The advantage of this technique is that it can be taken from the body with a needle and given with a needle. If the given adipose tissue is applied with an appropriate technique, at least 50% of it will bleed in the given place and continue to live again.

Texture Cocktail:

It is prepared by adding a small amount of muscle, fascia and adipose tissue to the skin pieces removed during a facelift, tummy tuck or breast reduction. The dermis layer obtained from these tissues is the most valuable. 90% of these tissues with a rich vascular system, which are given under the skin of the target area in the form of micro-grafts, can remain alive. It is much more effective than fat injection due to this high rate of survival. The disadvantage is the need for a procedure that requires a skin incision. These grafts, which are injected as a filler material, vascularize and live in the recipient area, but over time, they can also go towards melting with mimic movements and in accordance with the tissue melting in our body. This melting may vary depending on the structures, ages and living conditions of the people. The advantage of this type of tissue material is that it is the human’s own tissue, and the disadvantages are that it has to be taken from him every time and given to the patient again.
