Last week, I told you about the types of Peels and their benefits in general. Another method I want to introduce this week is MICRODERMEBRASION. This is a type of mechanical peeling. It has been used for a long time in European countries and America. Even if it does not make the headlines often, it is also quite common in our country.
Microdermabrasion is a very simple system. The device used consists of two tubes. One of the tubes is empty. The other has aluminum hydroxide crystals inside. During the peeling application, extremely fine aluminum hydroxide crystals are sprayed with a certain pressure. Sessions last up to 15 minutes. Absolutely no pain or discomfort.
The crystals hitting the skin stimulate the lower skin while slightly abrading the skin surface. In fact, all treatments to renew the skin are effective thanks to mild abrasion and stimulation. In microdermabrasion application, the patient does not feel this abrasion. But the skin reacts naturally and tries to repair this area immediately. Thus, it begins to produce new, fresh cells. Light abrasion allows the dead skin to peel off and create a fresh skin.
Over time, the pits narrow, become smaller, and become increasingly unclear. Meanwhile, the entire skin is revitalized and smoothed. As a result, the skin is rejuvenated, tightened and refreshed. If you ask about the number of sessions, this number varies according to the skin type and the depth of the scars. More repetitions may be necessary for some deep pits.
Microdermabrasion method is especially used in skin irregularities, acne scars, post-accident or post-operative scars. It is very effective in removing stretch marks during pregnancy.
Microdermabrasion treatment:
§ Reduces fine wrinkles,
§ Regulates blood circulation in the skin,
§ Allows the skin to breathe again,
§ Removes light stains on the upper skin layer,
§ It positively affects the synthesis of collagen and elastin,
§ Creates recovery in skin prone to sagging,
§ Removes newly formed pregnancy cracks,
§ Relieves scars from surgery, accident and acne,
§ According to some studies, it helps to destroy carcinogenic cells and some types of warts caused by viruses.
The microdermabrasion method is most used for pitting acne scars. Because collagen, which increases and thickens with Microdermabrasion, removes pits.
Stretch marks that occur in pregnant women, while they are still pink or purple, can be treated with microdermabrasion. After these cracks turn white, there is not much that can be done.
To date, I have had many good results with microdermebrasion. All treatments have been helpful, but I have seen visible improvement in acne scars, especially those that looked hopeless.
That’s it for this week. See you next week on new topics, goodbye.
