LASER LIPOLYSIS
Laser lipolysis (Smartlipo) is one of the most remarkable developments of recent years. A laser system that offers an innovative, very effective and reliable solution to the weight that has become the nightmare of many people, that cannot be dealt with or that cannot be achieved with diet, sports or other slimming methods for days.
Features of Laser System
Beyond traditional methods, laser lipolysis is a very reliable procedure for both the patient and the physician, very little invasive, does not require general anesthesia, and is performed together with tumescent anesthesia in a clinical setting far from operating room conditions. The laser beam with a wavelength of 1064 nm is transmitted through optical fibers inserted into microcannulas with a diameter of 1-14 mm. After regional anesthesia, 1mm incisions are made on the skin and the fat tissue under the dermis is reached through these cannulas. With the laser beam, the membranes of the adipocytes that make up the adipose tissue are broken down and the contents of these fat cells are emptied. Another feature of the laser beam is that it has an irreversible effect, which can destroy the fat cells that are not destroyed by the effect of the direct beam, and then disappear within 1-2 months.
Laser Lipolysis Usage Areas
Application areas are the abdomen, waist, back, hips, legs, knee circumference, neck, ankle and arms, where there is little or moderate regional lubrication in the body. Laser lipolysis should not be considered as a weight loss method. Here, the aim should be to correct and thin the contours in certain parts of the body, especially if it is aimed to eliminate subcutaneous irregularities and the appearance of cellulite, as it is effective on collagen, and to create a tighter skin. If the physician determines his patient and his purpose accordingly, the result will be perfect for both parties, otherwise the procedure loses its effectiveness and feature. Apart from application areas such as regional thinning, cellulite, and tightening, laser lipolysis can be used in lipomas in the body, granuloma structures formed after filling application, reduction of under-eye bags, pseudogynecomastia, and hyperhidrosis.
Application
Laser lipolysis is a procedure that can be performed in a clinical setting, as soon as lunch break, after the application of local anesthesia. Before the procedure, the patient is questioned whether he is allergic to any drug, and it is sufficient that he ate a small amount of something 1-2 hours ago. After the application, the patient can return to his home or work. The use of a corset for 3-7 days is sufficient, and then the patient should be informed that there may be a slight swelling or bruising in the application areas. The effect starts in 1 month, this period can be extended up to 6 months. Fat tissue melted in laser lipolysis is left to itself and removed from the body over time. However, after this procedure, if the fat is aspirated with the help of cannulas, it is defined as “Laser Assisted Liposuction”. This method is often preferred, especially if the number of applied areas is high or the amount of fat is high.
