PRP treatment is an important step among modern medical practices that are constantly developing in the world. PRP, which has just started to be applied in our country, is an alternative method applied in the treatment of hair loss, rejuvenation of the skin layer, healing of wounds and acne scars.
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is platelet enriched plasma, also known as “autologous blood concentration”. Platelets are a special blood cell that plays an important role in tissue healing and blood clotting.
Since the content in PRP is taken from the patient’s own blood, there is no risk of allergic reaction and infection. Since a sterile kit is used to collect blood and prepare plasma material, there is no risk of infectious diseases such as HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C.
What is PRP Hair Treatment?
PRP treatment is performed in order to revitalize weakened, dying hair follicles and hair strands that have become thin hair, and to restore the health of the hair.
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) treatment is the process of making the patient’s own blood rich in platelets by special processes and injecting it into the thinned or balding area.
PRP treatment is a treatment method that has been used in Europe and the Far East for many years. PRP treatment is also recommended for people who have recently experienced hair loss problems and who have started thinning or thinning their hair. Thanks to the PRP treatment, which has recently been applied in Turkey, very positive effects have been observed in hair regeneration.
How is PRP Treatment Applied to the Hair?
First, 8cc is taken from the venous blood of the patient who has hair problems. The blood is centrifuged. The plasma part, which is separated from the red blood cells, is subjected to a special process and injected into the thinned or balding area with the napage method.
Plasma obtained from PRP treatment contains white blood cells, platelets, coagulation factors and PGF (Platelet Growth Factor). In the PRP method, growth factors trigger the migration and proliferation of stem cells. Thus, the regeneration process in the tissue is started.
The basis of this application is based on tissue regeneration. The application takes a total of 30 minutes. No pain or scars occur during this period.
Duration of PRP Treatment
With the treatment performed once a month, a total of 3 sessions, the hair follicles are strengthened and the loss of weak hair strands is reduced. The treatment can be repeated after 6 months-1 year.
