The importance of the nose in snoring and sleep apnea
In obstructive sleep apnea, obstructions from the nose to the larynx, especially the stenosis of the soft palate and tongue root, are effective, but the correction of nasal congestion is a priority. Although the absence of nasal breathing causes snoring and sleep apnea, it has direct negative effects on our health such as fatigue, muscle tensions, muscle spasms and pains, concentration disorders, headaches, poor quality sleep, insomnia, jaw and dental problems. Deviation surgeries in the correction of nasal obstructions, intervention in nasal concha and polyps, endoscopic sinus surgeries are performed under general anesthesia and our patients do not feel pain. With the techniques and equipment developed in today’s conditions, our patients do not need to be afraid of nose surgery.
