Breast aesthetics

Today, breast augmentation is the most commonly performed aesthetic operation along with rhinoplasty. This procedure, which is frequently performed in our country, gives very satisfactory results. This procedure is typically done to enlarge small, immature, or postpartum shrunken breasts. Augmentation is achieved by placing natural materials made of silicone, which we call prostheses or implants, under the breast tissue. Recently, augmentation with fat transfers taken from your own body has become popular. Apart from these, the enlargement creams we come across in the popular media have no effect. They usually contain plant hormones called phytoestrogens, which can be extremely harmful to breast health.
Breasts are very important organs in terms of femininity figure and female body perception. Small and problematic breasts always disturb the subconscious of a woman. Even carrying a dress comfortably with small breasts will become a problem. In short, the breast is the most important body part that makes a woman a woman both mentally and physically.
Today’s implant technology is quite advanced. Forms that imitate the natural female breast in shape have been created. These are popularly known as drop silicone. The outer surfaces of the implants can be smooth or coated. Implants with silicone structure are produced under extremely hygienic and special conditions. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the use of these materials. Silicon is a completely natural element found in nature. It is usually found in beach sand and in a natural crystalline structure called quartz. It participates in the structure of many products from stainless steel to baby food. Silicates are integral building blocks of human connective tissue. The most intensive use of silicone-based materials is medical implants placed in the body. For example, heart valves are made of silicone.
AM I A SUITABLE CANDIDATE FOR BREAST ENLARGEMENT?
If you have one or more of the following, you can decide on breast aesthetics.
HOW IS BREAST ENLARGEMENT DONE?

  • If the small size of your breasts causes problems in your body image and self-confidence
  • Disproportion between your hip and chest size
  • Disproportion, strain when wearing special clothes such as clothes and swimsuits
  • Postpartum breast reduction, sagging and loosening
  • Breast reduction and deformities after weight gain and loss
  • Asymmetry between two breasts, one large and one small

Prostheses used for breast augmentation are placed in the body in four main ways;

  • From the under-breast groove
  • Around the nipple
  • armpit
  • from the belly button

The belly button is rarely used because its results are not very good. Breast prostheses are placed in two main body areas;

  • Subpectoral – Under the pectoral muscle
  • Subglandular – Above the pectoral muscle

Individual characteristics and personal preferences are decisive for the procedure to be performed. The size of the breast, where the prosthesis will be placed, whether it will be placed under or above the chest muscle, are determined after the doctor-patient consultation and examination. Here, you should definitely discuss with your doctor how much size you want and for what purpose. I definitely consider all body proportions, attach great importance to waist-hip and shoulder width.
ADVANTAGES OF BREAST ENLARGEMENT

  • Increases the size of the breast
  • If there is asymmetry, it disappears
  • If there is sagging in the breast, it is corrected
  • Corrects the proportions of the breast with other body parts

OPERATION DETAILS AT A GLANCE

  • General anesthesia or sedation-assisted anesthesia is used.
  • It takes 1-1.5 hours
  • It is possible to be discharged on the same day.
  • You can start work after 2 days.
  • Simple painkillers and oral antibiotics are sufficient.
  • Controls are made in the 1st week, 15th day, 6th month and first year.
  • A special bra should be used for 4-6 weeks after the procedure.

BREAST ENLARGEMENT WITH FAT TRANSFER
It is now scientifically accepted that stem cells are mostly found in adipose tissue. This process is based on the transfer of adipose tissue enriched from stem cells to the breast. Patients who do not consider silicone prosthesis may consider it. An important advantage of fat transfer is that the areas with excess fat can be thinned during the same procedure. Very thin patients are not suitable for fat transfer. Breast augmentation with fat transfer gives the closest results to nature, and since your own tissue is used, there are no side effects or allergic reactions.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-What is silicone?

Silicon is a natural element commonly found in nature. Silicon is a metal-like element and reacts with oxygen to form silicon dioxide, which is the most common substance in the world. It enters into many structures as silica, from beach sand to natural crystal. Silicates turn into silicone in the presence of intense heat and carbon. Silicone can be produced as a polymer in the form of liquid, gel or rubber. It is often found in lubricants, polishes, body lotions, soaps, processed foods, chewing gum, and waterproof foods.
Are silicone implants healthy?
There is no evidence that silicone implants cause a major disease in the body. Women are already frequently exposed to silicone in their daily lives. Also, ironically, cow’s milk and some infant formula formulations contain more silicone than the milk of women with silicone prostheses.
-Can it be associated with breast cancer?
Clinical studies have shown that this is not possible.
How does it interact with mammography?
Before the mammography controls, the shooting technician must be informed. Shooting is done accordingly. It is not affected by MRI and computed tomography, and the films can be easily interpreted by the radiologist.
